Climate risk analysis

Kai Karolin Wunsch is a Senior Manager Strategic Product Development & Alliances at Munich Re Risk Management Partners (RMP), where she drives the strategic product development of Location Risk Intelligence – MunichRe’s climate risk analytics platform – and leads the expansion of RMP’s strategic alliances.

In her role, she focuses on scaling Munich Re’s SaaS solutions that enable insurers, banks, corporates, and real estate investors to understand, measure, and manage their physical climate risks. Before joining RMP in 2021, she managed international projects at Arthur D. Little in the energy and automotive sectors – ranging from restructuring nuclear power plants to co-leading the development of a large-scale charging infrastructure project – and led E.ON’s nationwide smart meter rollout. She holds a Master’s degree in Management from the HHL-Leipzig Graduate School of Management and complemented her education with a Business Sustainability Management program at the University of Cambridge.

With her interdisciplinary background, Kai Karolin excels at connecting the dots in complex environments, transforming ideas from concept to scale, and driving the strategic development of RMP. Her mission: Empowering businesses to thrive in a changing climate by turning climate risk complexity into actionable insights.
